radiant heat (2015)

Dark Mofo 2015

⬿ Selected Works

From dusk until dawn, for 10 nights during Dark Mofo, the School of Creative Arts, University of Tasmania Hunter St campus was activated by real time and recorded thermal video footage, internally projected on select windows that wrapped the façade of the building. The thermal footage captured the interior spaces of the art school, evidencing the radiant heat generated by people, activities and stored energy within the building.

The projected footage pulsed intermittently across the building façade, presenting a charged manifestation of heat as exhaust and creative energy, emitted through dispersed apertures of the building and radiating out into the night and the city.
